{"id":164,"date":"2013-01-28T18:16:10","date_gmt":"2013-01-28T23:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sn315on.com\/?p=164"},"modified":"2013-01-28T18:16:10","modified_gmt":"2013-01-28T23:16:10","slug":"banana-nut-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southernsunnydays.com\/index.php\/2013\/01\/28\/banana-nut-bread\/","title":{"rendered":"Banana Nut Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Heat oven to 350\u00b0 F<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<br \/>\n3 cups Bisquick<br \/>\n2\/3 cups sugar<br \/>\n2 eggs<br \/>\n\u00bd cup milk<br \/>\n1 cup mashed bananas, about 2 medium or 3 small<br \/>\n2\/3 cup chopped nuts, usually walnuts<\/p>\n<p>Directions:<br \/>\nGrease and flour loaf pan \u0096 9 x 5 x 3<br \/>\n(I use a Pampered Chef loaf pan, the stone one without grease or flour)<\/p>\n<p>Mix all ingredients by hand until moistened. Stir for 30 seconds and then pour batter into pan.<\/p>\n<p>Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing.<\/p>\n<p>Makes 1 loaf, around 16 slices<\/p>\n<p>Variations:<\/p>\n<p>Pumpkin Nut Bread<br \/>\nSubstitute 1 cup canned pumpkin for the bananas. Beat in 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg and \u00bd teaspoon ground cloves.<\/p>\n<p>Date Nut Bread<br \/>\nMix 1 \u00bd cups cut up dates and \u00bd cup boiling water and let cool. Substitute date mixture for bananas.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd Recipe: Use loaf pan, 8 \u00bd x 4 \u00bd x 2 \u00bd, divde ingredient amounts in half and decrease bake time to 45-50 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>No Cholesterol Banana Nut Bread<br \/>\nSubstitute 3 egg whites or \u00bd cup cholesterol free egg product for the eggs and skim milk for the milk. For \u00bd recipe, substitute 2 egg whites or \u00bc cup cholesterol free egg product for the egg and skim milk for the milk.<\/p>\n<p>High Altitude Directions (3500-6500 ft.)<br \/>\nHeat oven to 375\u00b0 F. Decrease sugar to \u00bd cup.
